FB restores Page after banning it over fascism warning

Facebook has restored the page of Dhruv Rathee followingpublic outcry over briefly banning for drawing implicit parallels between fascism and rise of right-wing politics in India. Rathee is an Indian YouTuber and has one of the most active Facebook pages in India. He had highlighted in a post how Hitler remained unmarried, was more popular than the Nazi party, used propaganda, and received support from industrialists.   • Rathee drew implicit parallels between the rise of the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler and rise of right-wing politics in the country, wherein he also highlighted how Hitler was unmarried, used propaganda and received support from industrialists.
  • Facebook, on the face of a public outcry, apologised and restored Rathee's Facebook Page. "It looks like we did a mistake and removed something you posted on Facebook that did not go against our Community Standards. We want to apologise and let you know that we have restored your content and removed any blocks on your account related to this incorrect action," Facebook said in the note.
  • "Account restored! Thanks for your support guys! See the second photo, the reason Facebook had banned me," Rathee said in a post while adding a note from Facebook in which the social media giant apologised for the mistake.
